From 17 to 20 November, Sète's Théâtre Molière launches "Cette mer en moi", a new event devoted to world and Mediterranean music, with concerts, round tables, exhibitions and an original creation. The opening ball on 17 November is free, and a final Occitan music concert takes place at the Piano Tiroir in Balaruc-les-Bains.

Sète's Théâtre Molière (TMS) is launching a new event devoted to world music, from 17 to 20 November 2026. Called "Cette mer en moi", it combines concerts, professional meetings, round tables and festive moments, and showcases projects from +SilO+, a cooperative creation centre for world and traditional music in Occitanie.

It opens on Tuesday 17 November with a free traditional ball in the theatre foyer, led by the band Oyna K and its music from Thrace, Bulgaria and Macedonia. The same evening, a talk at the François-Mitterrand media library explores the links between world music and migration.

Public concerts in the main hall include Tarakna on 18 November, blending Berber songs and electroacoustics around the voice of Kahina Afzim, and on 19 November Thessalonik, a TMS creation bringing together ten musicians for a journey through Balkan music. Also on the 19th, Grégory Dargent plays a solo set at La Passerelle, mixing oud and electronics.

Throughout the four days, the theatre's corridors host an exhibition on the history of world music in France, drawn from the Sacem archives. The event closes on 20 November at the Piano Tiroir in Balaruc-les-Bains with the Occitan duo Cocanha. Booking is required.
