On Saturday 21 November at 7:30 pm, the Théâtres de Béziers welcome Soul Mates to the Théâtre des Franciscains: "the breath of the blues and the whispers of the soul". €18 to €27.
On Saturday 14 November at 11 am, the Archipel de Thau tourist office takes visitors behind the scenes of the Théâtre de la Mer, the open-air summer stage set in the remains of 17th-century Fort Saint-Pierre on the Corniche and normally closed off-season: military and cultural history and Sète identity. On Wednesday 18 November at 2:30 pm, a qualified guide leads visitors through the private mansions of Pézenas, reminders of the splendour of a town that was the political capital of Languedoc in the 17th century, shaped by the Dukes of Montmorency and the Prince of Conti. What to do this weekend? Autumn & half-term
On 6 and 7 November, auction house Primardeco launches "Les Automnales" at the Théâtre des Variétés in Béziers, a new free event devoted to art, heritage and collecting. It runs in three acts: a talk on 19th-century Béziers collectors, an exhibition by painter Emmanuel Michel and an auction held on stage.
On Friday 20 November from 7 pm, the monthly "Le 20 c'est le vin" gathering takes over Place de la Madeleine: a tasting of local wines and tapas in a friendly, musical atmosphere. Free entry.
On Friday 20 November at 8:30 pm, the Théâtre des Variétés celebrates 40 years of the Béziers company Le Barillet with some twenty variations drawn from the 144 that make up its signature work: humour, poetry and inventiveness. Ages 12 and up, €27 (€18 reduced).
