On Sunday 15 November at lunchtime, the Montpeyroux winegrowers' union holds the Régalades in the Saint-Martin du Barry church to mark the first vintage recognised as "AOC Montpeyroux, cru du Languedoc". The five-course menu is by Charles Fontès, Michelin-starred chef of La Réserve Rimbaud in Montpellier, with wines offered by the growers. €126 per person, booking required before 6 November.
On Wednesday 4 November from 2:30 to 4 pm, a guide shows visitors the Pézenas theatre, housed in the former chapel of the Black Penitents, and the 16th-century quarter built outside the walls, recently added to the town's protected heritage area. Meet in front of the theatre.
Until 6 November, the free exhibition "La toile aux rêves" reveals the settings, characters, inspirations and behind-the-scenes work of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the video game made by Montpellier studio Sandfall Interactive. It celebrates a global hit: 8 million copies sold and nine Game Awards, including Game of the Year.
What to do this weekend? Autumn & half-term
On 6 and 7 November, auction house Primardeco launches "Les Automnales" at the Théâtre des Variétés in Béziers, a new free event devoted to art, heritage and collecting. It runs in three acts: a talk on 19th-century Béziers collectors, an exhibition by painter Emmanuel Michel and an auction held on stage.
On Friday 20 November at 8:30 pm, the Théâtre des Variétés celebrates 40 years of the Béziers company Le Barillet with some twenty variations drawn from the 144 that make up its signature work: humour, poetry and inventiveness. Ages 12 and up, €27 (€18 reduced).
On Saturday 21 November at 7:30 pm, the Théâtres de Béziers welcome Soul Mates to the Théâtre des Franciscains: "the breath of the blues and the whispers of the soul". €18 to €27.
