Until 6 November, the free exhibition "La toile aux rêves" reveals the settings, characters, inspirations and behind-the-scenes work of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the video game made by Montpellier studio Sandfall Interactive. It celebrates a global hit: 8 million copies sold and nine Game Awards, including Game of the Year.

From 6 October to 6 November 2026, the ground floor of Montpellier City Hall hosts "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – La toile aux rêves", an exhibition put together by the city with Sandfall Interactive, the local studio behind the game.

Through a selection of works, the show takes visitors into the game's world: its settings, characters, artistic references and the making of the game. The idea is to become, for the length of the visit, a member of Expedition 33.

The exhibition celebrates an exceptional success. Released in April 2025, the game passed one million copies within days, then 8 million on 24 April 2026. Praised for its art direction, storytelling and a combat system blending turn-based strategy with real-time action, it won nine Game Awards, including Game of the Year. The city sees it as a showcase for its cultural and creative industries.

Entry is free, Monday to Friday (until 7 pm on Thursdays), with direct tram access. A competition also offers the chance to win a signed artbook until 13 November.
