On Saturday 10 October 2026, Montpellier's Agropolis science campus hosts "Du Grain à l'Assiette, Vive la biodiversité!", a micro-festival celebrating grains and pulses. It takes place at the future Lavalette third place, reachable from the Agropolis tram stop, and entry is free.
This scientific and festive event, part of the Fête de la science, closes a series of gatherings on the same theme. It is led by Agropol'Eat, INRAE through the DIVINFOOD project and Montpellier Metropole, with many partners: universities, Institut Agro, CIRAD, farmers, bakers, chefs and neighbourhood associations.
The programme includes demonstrations, guided tastings, bread- and pasta-making, talks and activities to learn and discuss agrobiodiversity, plant breeding, food processing and nutrition. It is aimed at everyone from toddlers to adults.
According to Agropol'Eat, the day ends with an evening concert of Irish music.
