On 6 and 7 November, Sète's Michèle-Weil university centre hosts the first Jeu & Écologie Festival, devoted to games that help people understand environmental issues. After a day for professionals, Saturday is open to all, with activities, game discovery, an escape game and meetings with designers.
A new event is coming to Sète: the Jeu & Écologie Festival, whose first edition takes place on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026 at the Michèle-Weil university centre. It sets out to show how games can help people grasp complex subjects and support environmental and local transitions.
The project is led by three organisations: Ludogamie, a Montpellier game-design agency and publisher; CPIE Littoral d'Occitanie, an environmental education association; and Le GameLab, a research lab and creative studio. It brings together game designers, researchers, local authorities, associations and the public.
Friday is a professional day, with discussions, tests of new tools and a resource fair. Saturday is open to everyone: activities, games on environmental themes, a sustainability escape game and talks with the designers. Preparatory workshops are also planned in October at partner venues around the area.
The festival is supported in particular by the MIRANDA research programme, under France 2030, and by the Occitanie Region. The programme may still change slightly before the event.
