From 23 October to 1 November, the 6th Temps d'Expo festival fills the lanes, squares and mansions of Pézenas with work by established and emerging photographers. Guest of honour Trinley Paris shows at the Hôtel Flottes de Sébasan, and free walks let visitors meet the photographers.
For its 6th edition, from 23 October to 1 November 2026, the Temps d'Expo festival takes the bicentenary of photography as its theme. The organisers want visitors to slow down and really look at images, against the endless stream scrolling on our screens.
The exhibitions are spread across town, at the Maison du Peuple, the old bathhouse, the Hôtel Flottes de Sébasan and the Hôtel de Lacoste, as well as outdoors on squares and on the railings of the Square du Poilu. Professionals and amateurs are shown side by side after selection by a committee.
The guest of honour is Trinley Paris, named Portraitiste de France in 2025 and European Photographer in 2026. She presents two contrasting series: staged colour portraits and "Les Gens d'ici", a black-and-white documentary project shot over five years in streets, markets and hospitals.
The programme also includes free guided walks to meet the photographers, a talk on the history of the medium from the daguerreotype to the pixel at the historic theatre on 29 October, and a screening devoted to Raymond Depardon at the Molière cinema on 28 October. Venues open daily, non-stop at weekends.
