On Thursday 22 October at 8:30 pm, Agde's cultural season brings Molière's comedy-ballet, directed by Jérémie Lippmann, to the Palais des Congrès Cap d'Agde Méditerranée, with Jean-Paul Rouve as Monsieur Jourdain. Ages 10 and up, 1 hr 45, €8 to €35.

Agde's cultural season presents a great classic on Thursday 22 October 2026 at 8:30 pm: Molière's "Le Bourgeois gentilhomme", at the Palais des Congrès Cap d'Agde Méditerranée, Rond-point du Carré d'As.

Jean-Paul Rouve plays Monsieur Jourdain, the bourgeois who will do anything to imitate the nobility, alongside a large cast. The production is directed by Jérémie Lippmann.

First performed in 1670 for the court of Louis XIV, the five-act comedy-ballet blends theatre, music, singing and dance: tutors, misunderstandings, arranged marriages and Turkish guests, in a baroque version with flamboyant costumes.

The show lasts 1 hr 45 and is suitable for ages 10 and up. Full price €35; reduced prices from €8 to €27 depending on age and the Agde Culture card. Tickets at saisonculturelle-agde.fr.
