From 17 to 31 October, the Lodève museum offers "Urgence paléo!", a brand-new escape game created by Le Manoir du Crime (family version from age 10, adult version from 15), along with fossil-handling and casting workshops. Booking required.
During the autumn school holidays, from 17 to 31 October 2026, the Lodève museum offers a dive into palaeontology, together with the Lodévois et Larzac Pays d'art et d'histoire.
The highlight is a brand-new escape game, "Urgence paléo!", designed by Le Manoir du Crime. The plot: palaeontologists find a promising fossil just metres from a building site about to start work, and the team has one hour to prove the site's scientific value before the diggers move in. There are two versions: family, from age 10, and adult, from 15.
The museum also runs the "Paléo labo" workshop (from age 8) to handle and classify real fossils with magnifiers and light tablets, a casting workshop (from age 6) and a guided tour of the museum's highlights, from the history of the Earth to the works of Paul Dardé.
Prices range from €5 to €12 depending on the activity. Booking required, online.
